Santos is a Specialty Gourmet Coffee importer and roaster, established in Sydney in 1956. It is a family business now in its third generation.
The reputation of the company is based on more than 40 years experience in the coffee trade and close co-operation with both customers and suppliers.
Our expertise extends to premium quality nuts, dried fruits, and the food service industry. Our operations are centralised at our 22,000 sq. metre modern facility at Riverwood.
To satisfy the substantial growth in specialty tea appreciation and consumption in Australia, we source the finest quality Loose Leaf Teas and Herbal Infusions from around the world.
OUR BLENDS
Santos has been sourcing single origin coffees from around the world for 50 years. Santos buys direct from plantation only premium hard bean arabicas that meet our highest grading standards. Our coffee buyer and director, Nicholas Avramides, has been actively buying for the past 33 years. His experience in this process is unrivalled. He draws upon his extensive contacts and resources to purchase the finest crops from countries in South and Central America, East Africa and Asia.
Our coffee is then batch roasted upon demand, cooled and left to breath for 24 hours. Only then do we blend our origins to form the unique palates that we have defined to our market. We then package our coffee to order, and deliver weekly to our customers. Our blends go through a daily cupping process to ensure they meet our panel’s highest standards.
